Royce started coming into Arizona World of Baseball when he was only 14 years old and would spend hours each day practicing his game. All of his hard work paid off when he started playing at Chaparral High School in Scottsdale, Arizona.
In High School Royce was a 3-year letter winner in baseball and he earned All-State and All-City honors his senior season. His senior year he hit .399 with 6 home runs and 45 RBIs! After High School all of Royce’s hard work and countless hours spent at Arizona World of Baseball paid off even more as he was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays.
Royce decided to hold off on professional baseball and attend college at Gonzaga. He has been a starter for both his freshman and sophomore years at Gonzaga and there is no doubt he will go on to play professionally once he earns his degree.
